  • Yackandandah Community Centre 29 High Street Yackandandah, VIC, 3749 Australia (map)

Our Family History and Stories series presents:

The Role of Cornish Miners in Australia’s First Resource Booms.
The development of the mining of minerals from the 1840s to the early 1900s was greatly influenced by the skills and culture of immigrant Cornish miners. This talk illustrates how a family’s history is intertwined with events that shaped Australia.

Whether you have a Cornish history, or not, it is interesting to find out how Australia’s wealth and culture developed.
