TOPIC: The evolution of writing
In this session we will look at the beginnings of writing as a means of recording, counting, expanding trade and establishing the laws of the land. We will look at Hieroglyphs, Pictograms, the first alphabet, the first written sentences and books and how they came to be translated. How the invention of the printing press did so much to create literacy, readers and the sharing of knowledge and where social media and artificial intelligence have changed or will change what and how we read
