TOPIC: Social media and people power

On the one hand there are people who see social media as a democratising force, transforming the way we do politics into a more direct form of democracy. On the other side, we see dystopian accounts of how social media is potentially impacting democracy in negative ways.

Populism or a better-informed public? - this session will look at where that is likely to go.
